Individualised Reading Programme — Help Me Read
A short, evidence-based programme for parents. Assessment-led, delivered in the home language, and built around short daily routines that fit busy family lives.
Why parents are central
Parents create the earliest language environments and have the greatest influence on how children develop reading habits. Short, consistent interactions—10–15 minutes daily—build vocabulary, narrative skill, and confidence. Where home reading is weak, children often start school with limited print familiarity and smaller vocabularies; targeted parent support addresses this gap directly.
Programme — concise overview
20-minute screening: oral language, phonemic awareness, decoding and initial fluency.
Daily micro-tasks for child and parent designed for 10–15 minutes/day.
A short modelling session in the home language (video or in-person).
Weekly 1-minute fluency checks; simple midline and endline reports.
What parents gain
- Visible improvement in reading confidence and fluency within weeks (pilot evidence: 20–25% gains).
- Simple daily routine that fits time-constrained households (10–15 minutes).
- Materials and coaching in the home language to reduce barriers and increase engagement.
- Clear, easy-to-follow prompts that do not require perfect adult reading skills.
School & NGO partnerships
While the programme is individual and parent-focused, schools and NGOs can partner to deliver cohorts: teacher-facilitated parent workshops, bulk printed materials, and community rollouts. Partnership pricing and implementation support are available on request.
Pricing (Parent-facing)
- Starter (3 weeks): Screening + brief personalised plan + one coaching call — ₹1,299.
- Standard (12 weeks): Full personalised plan, weekly checks, and two coaching calls per month — ₹3,999.
